Find a niche market

Its better to specialise in a particular type of painting and decorating instead of trying to do everything or anything. This is called 'finding a niche market'. There are lots of types painting and decorating businesses, but in every case it is important that you get the training you need. Choose from the following:

To be a supervisor or estimator for a large painting contractor you need to have specialised skills in safety, estimating or managing teams. We recommend completing training in one of the following disciplines:
