Paint Colour Matching Course
It is important for painters and paint retail staff to know how to match colours to specification. Even if this is usually carried out in a paint store, the skills are required by painters:
- Using natural paints where no formulas are available
- Where colour matching must be done on site
- To help them advise customers about colour schemes, and to follow colour schemes
- To work to specification on projects and infrastructure using standardised colours
- To provide adjustments to colour on-site
- On heritage buildings
This course will teach you:
- Paint Colour Theory
- Using the Colour Wheel
- Colour Dimensions
- The Munsell System
- Heritage Considerations
- Australian Standard Colours
- Colour Harmony Theory
- Procedures for Colour Matching
Students who complete the course will be issued with a Certificate of Completion from the National Institute of Painting and Decorating.
